Michael S. Taylor CPA MST

Mike has over 25 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax and tax planning for families and small businesses. He earned his Master’s in Taxation and a Master Personal Financial Planner Certificate from Bentley University, along with his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Mike is an active member of professional and community organizations and enjoys mentoring future leaders in the accounting field. He is also deeply involved in guiding the firm’s growth in client advisory services and brings additional perspective through his investment advisory and insurance credentials.

Mike is a father of four and loves spending time with family and friends. He’s passionate about the outdoors and can often be found fishing, section hiking the AT, or logging a morning run. Mike enjoys playing tennis and racquetball, a good IPA, and cheering on New England sports teams, especially around a fire or a dartboard.

Christopher G. Torres CPA MST

Chris began his career at the firm in 2015 as an intern and steadily rose through the ranks to become a partner. He works across a wide range of tax engagements offering a well-rounded approach to tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses. He also leads the firm’s efforts in preparing all nonprofit tax returns, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with ever-evolving regulations. Chris holds a Bachelor’s in Accountancy from Providence College and a Master’s in Taxation from Bryant University. His academic foundation, combined with years of hands-on experience, allows him to navigate complex tax landscapes with precision and insight. Outside the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his daughters, traveling to new places, and experimenting in the kitchen. Whether he’s exploring a new city or perfecting a new recipe, he brings the same curiosity and care that define his professional life.

Sid Guadalupe, Staff Accountant

Sid joined Taylor & Company in 2022 as an intern. In the process of completing her internship, she was attending Rhode Island College where she earned a Bachelor’s in Accounting. In her free time, she loves to take walks on the beach and surround herself with family and friends, while also making time for her pursuit to become an Enrolled Agent.

Hailey Chase, Staff Accountant

Hailey joined the firm as an intern in 2023 and quickly became an integral part of our team. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Rhode Island in May 2025, bringing fresh perspective and a strong sense of initiative to her work. Known for her collaborative spirit and attention to detail, Hailey supports both clients and colleagues with enthusiasm and care. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family & friends and is often found in the kitchen baking up something sweet.

Emily Hartford, Office Administrator

Emily joined the firm in 2024. With 8 years of experience in the accounting industry, Emily brings valuable expertise to her new role. She holds a degree in Communication from Bridgewater State University and has worked in a CPA office environment for several years, giving her a deep understanding of the unique demands of the profession.

Emily is thrilled to join the team and looks forward to tackling the challenges of tax season with her colleagues at Taylor & Company. Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending quality time with her husband, daughter, family, friends, cat Willow & flying squirrel Skippy.

Elizabeth Macy, Office Administrator

With a background in early childhood education, Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience in nurturing and guiding young minds. Elizabeth has a strong skill set in communication, organization, and problem-solving, which will undoubtedly enhance our office environment. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Laura Lane, Office Manager

Laura joined the firm in 2015. She earned her bachelor’s in finance from the School of Management, University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prior to being a stay-at-home Mom, she was a General Manager for an internet publisher. Outside of work she loves going to the Cape, gardening, & reading
